Socks have taken on a new importance in my knitting life. Kim, from Socks for Soldiers, made me think about knitting progress in a new way. "An inch a day" is the mantra I've taken from this amazingly productive group of knitters.
For me, the key to achieving this goal is accessability. I went to World Market this morning and found exactly what I needed. Two lovely bags that are pretty to wear and easy to take needles in and out. Tomorrow is going to be my first day with my new "sock bag" lifestyle. I'm trying to channel the sock knitters during WWI and WWII who would never dream of going anywhere without their knitting bags.
Don't think that I'm only going to be knitting black socks. I believe this new "sock as constant companion" lifestyle is going to be productive for all the feet in my family!
