The unseasonably warm weather we had this weekend was a perfect excuse for outdoor dining at Matt and Jessica's. We hadn't seen Walter for about three weeks so I was in need of a grandson fix.
All that stretching Bob does to stay limber for golf has a secondary benefit of being able to get down on floor to play with Walter.
Xena loves playing with little people but Walter is used to the short hair of his Chocolate Lab, Montana. I have to guard against any unintentionaly hair pulling.
Walter was puzzled by my painted toe nails. At one point he actually scowled in confusion. Little does he know that women's behavior is going to be a source of mysteries his entire life!
Finally, Walter opted to hang out with grandpa who was not such a challenge.
Remember these - little baby kimonoes knit in Shine Worsted? The pattern is in Mason Dixon Knitting. Well, with a baby brother on the way, they are going to get more use. I learned that the stretchiness of the buttonhole means that I should have used much larger buttons. I'll find a new set and get them ready for use.
By the way, dinner was delicious! Steaks, pasta Carbanara, grilled asparagus and a chilled Italian salad of sauteed onion, peppers and capers. A bit of chocolate gelato for dessert.
